America Needs A Revival And A Spiritual Awakening
Being in a position of power and leadership can provide advantages. But working on the Hill can be challenging.
Capitol Hill can sometimes be a discouraging place and our intent is to bring words of hope and encouragement. Together, we can help heal those who are frustrated and discouraged.
It starts with spreading The Word on the Hill.

Divine Appointments Filled with Prayers of Encouragement, Comfort, and Strength
Hate and division shouldn’t be the loudest voice in America. Nor should we feel that American politics is doomed and devoid of moral and spiritual character.
The Word on the Hill believes that everyone has the power to reach their highest calling. Steve Amerson, along with his colleague, Dan Cummins, meet with members of Congress on all sides of the political spectrum. Whether it’s congressional staff, law enforcement, or even the custodial staff, Steve and Dan’s appointment books are open. They endeavor to bring God’s presence — and reflect His glory — to all on Capitol Hill.

Prayers for Strength
Prayers for Strength
In the high-pressure environment of leadership, especially within the political arena, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the weight of responsibility. Leaders on Capitol Hill, or in any sphere of influence, often face difficult decisions and challenges that can lead to discouragement. This section provides guidance and spiritual support for those moments.
Prayers for Strength in Leadership are meant to empower individuals, helping them find resilience and hope in their faith. These prayers focus on seeking strength from God during challenging times, especially when leaders are faced with tough decisions or feel the pressure of their roles. This includes asking for guidance, wisdom, and courage to stay true to one’s values while navigating through uncertainty.
Prayers for Encouragement are designed to uplift leaders, reminding them of their higher purpose and calling. Encouragement prayers provide emotional and spiritual reinforcement, allowing leaders to draw on their faith to inspire not only themselves but also the people they lead.
Prayers for Work and Purpose focus on reaffirming the importance of diligent, purpose-driven labor. They encourage leaders to see their work not just as a task but as a mission that contributes to the greater good. These prayers help frame daily work as an extension of one’s faith and calling, offering strength to persevere and remain focused on their goals.
