The Word on the Hill provides:
- Spiritual encouragement to members of Congress and staff
- A weekly Christian worship experience in the Capitol
- A weekly staff Bible study
- Trained men and women to provide spiritual guidance
- Special events on Capitol Hill to build the Christian community on the Hill
The Word on the Hill traces it’s beginnings back to 2014 when Steve Amerson was asked to assist in giving leadership to the first weekly worship services in the United States Capitol in 144 years. These worship experiences are designed for members of Congress, staff, and invited guests.
We serve the 535 members of Congress and the over 18,000 people that work on Capitol Hill. With all of the voices clambering for the attention of lawmakers it’s our hope to make God’s voice the loudest. We serve members of Congress, staff, guests, and the Christian community on the Hill.
