Recently I was watching an interview with Robert Kennedy, Jr. when he said something that caught my attention. He was reflecting on how he tries to approach life. He said, “Nothing is a crisis. Everything is a task.” I thought, what a great way to approach what can be a hectic and harried life.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
When I think on that passage of scripture, it allows me to focus on a task and not become overwhelmed by a crisis. God has the issue in His hands. My tendency is to try and take it over and solve a problem when He doesn’t need my help. When I leave it to him, I can experience peace beyond what I can comprehend.
My encouragement to you is to allow His peace to guard your heart and mind. Don’t be overwhelmed with a crisis. Trust God as you address each task.
Thanks for your continued encouragement and support of the tasks set before me whether it be walking the halls of congress or using music to encourage and bring God’s blessing.
God bless.
